Recent reviews:

  • My switch was done smoothly. I did have to contact BT the day after my broadband went live as I was concerned but couldn’t get on the internet. They sent an engineer out the next day to fix a fault and they come first thing as promised. BT then credited my account with £26 as a sorry for the delay. I would recommend BT. They have been excellent very helpful when I spoke to them.

      Hyperoptic

      Hyperoptic

Hyperoptic offer high-speed Fibre-to-Premises broadband to a limited number of UK households.

      Recent reviews:

      • Took much longer for installation than expected, including a cancelled appointment. The fitters were lovely and cleaned up after themselves, and were very apologetic that they couldn't get me up and running because of a fault in the the original fitting of the fibre optic so a further engineer was needed to correct the fault. There was then confusion over the telephone connection and an increased charge. Not the best experience but everything is now working with no further problems.

        Overall Satisfaction: 6/10

      • Install was only to the nearest plug socket near the front door. Wireless signal cuts out intermittently. Ended up buying a cable to stop problem.

      Recent reviews:

      • I switched to italk for a cheaper deal and more reliability. They seem to be a decent firm. Easy to contact and they help you when needed.

        Overall Satisfaction: 8/10

      • At the start there were problems - the live date was supposed to be on the Wednesday but ended up being on Saturday. Sometimes slips out of signal. We have dealt with some nice customer service people, but the package we got to start with had to be down graded as the speed was not good enough. However, overall I am happy.

      John Lewis

      John Lewis

Not just a department store, John Lewis also provides broadband using Plusnet’s network.

      Recent reviews:

      • Switchover was straightforward and went through without any hitches. So far I've kept the speed that was promised and haven't noticed any drop in performance even when having several windows open. Not only is the monthly cost lower than my previous supplier but I also got two vouchers for changing provider which makes it even greater value.

        Overall Satisfaction: 8/10

      • Annoyingly the switch was delayed because they asked if I wanted to keep my number for a second time, when I'd already said the week before I didn't. As a result I ended up with extra charges from my old provider as I didn't leave in time.

        • My new router arrived in the post a few days before my switch date. On the morning of the switch date, as soon as I connected my new router, my internet connection was live and ready to use. Excellent service, the router provides decent WiFi coverage and the internet speed is comparable to my previous provider. Very competitive prices with inclusive call charges built in. Recent reviews:

              • The switch went well with no issues or delays. I am very satisfied with the broadband speed I am receiving and have had no other issues. I am very glad I switched as the money I am saving just about covers a recent increase in my rent. As a pensioner that is very important!

                Overall Satisfaction: 10/10

              • For me there was no real benefit of changing other than for free gift as monthly price is the same as my previous provider. Physically bound by ADSL infrastructure, so doesn't change speed of connection.

              Recent reviews:

              • The switch was easy and went well however there was a considerable delay between signing up and the switch happening. The internet drops out very regularly which I hoped would settle with time however it has not improved.

                Overall Satisfaction: 6/10

              • I am very happy with the switch from my last provider. It was very simple to do, and my box was sent out to me quickly with a manual containing instructions on how to get started. At first I thought I might have a few problems setting it up, however I rang Shell and talked through it and managed to fix the problem quickly and I was up and running. I’m happy with the change and it’s a good value for money.
