I had initially tried to get FTTP from Vodafone, but they were completely incompetent at fulfilling the order. After declining Vodafone's request to give them a 3rd chance, I chose EE and they were great from start to finish. The router provided is very under powered, would recommend swapping it out for a decent router.

Switching was fine however I appear to have gone from one provider to the next with similar issues. I know EE and BT are the same but had hoped for a better service

It was a great decision to switch! EE have been great, they explain everything so you can understand. Very fast at answering the phone on customer service contact number. Highly recommended to anyone and everyone. Awesome work EE, keep it up.

I was very pleased with the communication and ease of arranging my new broadband. My previous supplier was not as fast and with working from home I needed a quick and stable connection. Installation was painless and quick and the connection has never failed from day one.

Really terrible. They took four months from order date. Never reached promised speed. Only saving Grace was the engineer was really nice.

The switch to EE, was very quick. The service is not as fast as I would of liked, but it's manageable. The provider is reasonably priced for the package. Happy with the switch, but if faster speeds were an option I'd go with it.

The engineer was brilliant and very thorough. It took longer than expected for our new connection but this was due to not having a phone line already. So far the connection has been good. I haven’t had to contact customer service since joining ee and that is a positive first!

EE were fast-acting and had my Wi-Fi up and running in a week. No issues with lost signal and brilliant value for money. Also get extra data since I’m with EE mobile already.

Quick switch. I’m happy with my choice and I'll stick with EE! I do find the WiFi a bit slow sometimes but I think that’s probably down to so many Xbox’s being on.

This was the first time for me to get broadband in the house. The EE engineer was very helpful and full of information regarding the router speeds and advised me if I had any problems what to do to fix them. The setup was done quickly and efficiently. Since it had been installed I’ve had no problems with the broadband. Overall it was a good experience. Would recommend EE to people looking for a new internet provider as I’ve had no issues.

The switch was very smooth and effortless on my part - they handled everything. The new speeds are great, however they connection is inconsistent and can get very poor. I'm happy to have switched and saved money but the disconnections and buffering can be annoying at times.

Satisfaction and Value for Money

  • The customers we asked said they saved on average £4.37 per month by switching to EE broadband.
  • Users gave EE 8.1/10 for overall satisfaction, and rated them 8.1/10 on value for money.
  • When asked why they chose EE broadband, 61% said that they offered the most cost effective deal at the time.
  • Other reasons customers cited were: broadband speed (22%), the provider's reputation (17%).

Switching and Initial Set-Up

  • On average, the customers we surveyed gave EE a rating of 8.7/10 for handling their broadband switch.
  • Most customers reported that it took less than 2 weeks from placing an order with EE until their new broadband was up and running.
  • 30% of new EE users had to have a new phone line or cable installed.
  • To get set up, 43% required a home visit from an engineer, with 0% needing repeat visits.
  • 26% of customers surveyed told us they needed a router upgrade and 9% required additional wifi signal boosters.

Broadband Speed & Reliability

  • For broadband speed, customers rated EE 7.6/10 on average.
  • Users gave them 7.6/10 for the reliability of their broadband connection.
  • 22% of people experienced issues with intermittent downtime, with 9% saying their broadband was down persistently.
  • 9% of respondents told us they had a slow connection at least some of the time.
  • 26% said they had a poor wifi signal in some parts of their home.
